How to play

Press Start to enable audio. Listen to the two tones, then decide whether the second tone is higher or lower. Replay the sound with R when needed.

Scoring and methodology

Ten synthesised tone pairs test relative pitch direction. Each correct answer earns one point. Tones use 12-tone equal temperament with A4 = 440 Hz; your best score is saved for this mode.

What this test can tell you

This tests relative pitch, not absolute pitch or hearing health. Set a comfortable volume before starting. Speaker quality, background noise and hearing differences can affect the experience.
